LOCAL INTERCHANGES

Each year the ARRA sends referees all around New Zealand to referee games in other provinces. This allows referees to meet fellow referees, get different styles of rugby, and most importantly, have a great time!


So of our regular locations include Harbour, Counties, Bay of Plenty, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago, and so many more! 

FIJI 7s

Over the years many of our referees have headed over to Fiji, both for the international 7s, and for the Fijian Cup

Fiji 7s provides some of the best quality 7s from around the world, across many different grades. With many nations sending their B international sides to compete.

Fijian Cup 7s is a tournament heavily focused not just on the rugby, but on the social side. In the last couple years, many ARRA referees have paid their own way here - tacking on a holiday at the same time  

DUBAI 7s

Highly regarded as the best 7s tournament in the world, hundreds of teams come together in Dubai once a year across 7s, Netball, Cricket & more! This isn't just a tournament - there's concerts, pools, and pretty much anything you can think of

The ARRA has been sending referees and referee coaches to Dubai for over 20 years - being led by Roger Drew and Peter Florence

Any referee who has been will tell you this is a once in a lifetime opportunties - not just for the extremely high quality of 7s, but the chance to meet referees from around the world, and experience one of the biggest sports tournaments
