Every weekend, across Auckland, referees turn up for the game. They give their time, energy and commitment so players can play, coaches can coach, families can support and clubs can thrive.

Without referees, there is no game.

Refereeing is not always easy. It takes courage, confidence, resilience and a real love of rugby. Referees make hundreds of decisions in a match, often under pressure, so that the game can be played safely, fairly and in the right spirit.

The Auckland Rugby Referees Association is launching our new Foundation Sponsorship Package to help us attract, recruit, educate and support the next generation of referees.

For $1,000 plus GST, your business can make a genuine difference to rugby in Auckland.

All proceeds raised will go directly towards supporting referees across the region, helping provide the education, development and encouragement they need to stay involved and continue serving the game.

Foundation Sponsors will receive:

  • 50 Auckland NPC tickets to use across the season as you see fit
  • A framed official referee photograph, engraved to recognise your support
  • Entry into the draw to win one of two corporate box experiences at an Eden Park NPC match, with 8 people per winner and food and beverage included
  • Recognition on a dedicated Foundation Sponsors page on the ARRA website
  • Logo placement on the Auckland Rugby trailer, seen at tournaments, community events and rugby activations

These matches are enjoyed by a combined audience of 158,000 spectators each year.
