Jonathon White to referee Highlanders vs Sharks

Open Day Saturday 21st March Cancelled
As a reminder the Open Day scheduled for this Sunday the 21st March has been cancelled. Monday night's meeting on the 22nd March will proceed as per normal.

Referees Master touch success
The 2009/2010 touch season saw a team of Referees, under the guidance of Rob Ah Kuoi, front up at the Over 35 Masters grade held at Gribblehurst Park in Sandringham.

Registration Nights. 17 February 2010
Due to a number of circumstances outside of our control we have had to change the date of the registration nights to Tuesday the 9th and Tuesday the 16th of March at the OMS between 5.30pm and 7.00pm. On those nights you can bring in your registration form and your $30.00 subscription (30 years and Life Members are exempt) and in return active members will receive a new gear bag, training tee, set of flags and a gift from AMI. For those who require replacement gear this will also be available.

2009 AMI Auckland Referee of the Year
Receiving the AMI Referee of the Year award in September completed both a highly satisfying, yet frustrating, 2009 for Ben Skeen.
After a busy start to the year in the role of TMO and Assistant Referee during the Rebel Sport Super 14, Ben followed that up with some quality club fixtures, a test match between Nuie and the Cook Islands, a Ranfurly Shield challenge and four Air NZ Cup games.

Tailevu 7's. Waitemata Park, January 30, 2010.
Another successful Tailevu 7's tournament has been and gone. Played on a hard and fast track at Waitemata Park, in Henderson, the Marist Saints got up over Nadi Blue in the final with the Saints skill and precision proving to much for a gallant Nadi.

Sevens begins for 2010 [By Dave Ferguson]
The first Sevens tournament of 2010 began in earnest on January 16 at the College Rifles Rugby Club. The tournament was hosted by the Four Nations Rugby Association. This inaugural event of Sevens competition was well organised and everything ran according to plan. Actually if there were any hiccups it was usually the referees who were the culprits as some of them started their games earlier than the official hooter sounded.

Dubai Sevens/Tens tournament [November 2009]
A chance meeting between Roger Drew and the referee manager of the Arabian Gulf Rugby Referees Association, Stan Wright, at Hong Kong in 2006, has led to what is now a much sought after expedition to Dubai for the Sevens and Tens tournament which runs in conjunction with the opening IRB 7s circuit.
