Antony Petrie & Sam Fellows have been selected to referee in Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s. The tournament takes place 14^th – 16^th January 2016 (previously it had been held in November).

This is a prestigious tournament for the Pacific Island and last year the final was refereed by top 7s referee Rasta Rasivhenge.

I am proud of the way both of these referees have progressed this year. Antony was recently being awarded the Most Improved Premier Referee for the ARRA. Sam has continued his growth over the last couple of years since arriving here from Waikato.

Both refereed many of the 7s tournaments during the summer & Steve Salton, Head of the 7s Coaching, has identified both as strong & promising 7s prospects for us. There appointment shows that those who put time into our 7s community program will be rewarded.

Antony and Sam will fly out 12^th January & return 17^th January.

Please note that 2 training nights for 7s referees this season will be held at Eden Park, 6.30pm on the 5^th & 12^th of October in the ARU Board Room.
